MONEGU is the first magazine created specifically for those who choose to make Monaco their home.
Its name is deeply rooted in the Principality’s identity, a symbol of belonging, heritage, and respect for the culture of this unique city-state.
The Monegasque language is called Monegù or Munegu in its own language, with both spellings being used.
"Monegù" is the traditional name for the language, while "Munegu" is the name for the country itself in the local language and also appears in the name for the language, as seen in forms like Munegu (Monaco in Monégasque) and munegascu (Monégasque language).
With MONEGU, this spirit becomes a guide for new residents as they begin their life in the Principality.
Founded by long-term Monaco resident Zsolt Szemerszky, MONEGU was conceived as a practical and inspirational companion for individuals and families relocating to Monaco. The magazine serves as a trusted resource to better understand the country’s institutions, lifestyle, values, and opportunities, while also highlighting Monaco’s international achievements and global influence.
MONEGU is published by Niche Media, the Monaco-based publisher of Living in Monaco, the official Monaco residents’ magazine. While Living in Monaco focuses on exclusive interviews and stories from the local community, MONEGU is designed to support newcomers, offering clarity, orientation, and insight into life in the Principality.
